The length of coax does NOT matter! the "correct" length is whatever it takes to get from the radio to the antenna. Period and END! The only thing that matters is to keep it as short as possible to minimize losses. There are a few cases where it "might" matter (such as using ladder line feed), but this myth was born on CB radio that here lives to this day, and apparently shall for evermore. BTW, I'm a ham, too (Advanced) and I never even worry about how long the coax is. Tune the ANTENNA, not the coax. RR
